The Olive Tree, Honolulu

The Olive Tree Café is a local favorite in Honolulu, especially as a respite from the rampant selection of Asian cuisine.

This place is so popular that you need to either get take-out or arrive and claim a seat before it opens (or right before closing). Since the weather is always agreeable, it’s best to sit outside and you can bring your own beer or wine.

My favorite dish to order is this Greek salad, which includes the standard vegetable, olive and feta cheese combination, along with the most delicious Greek salad dressing.

When I brought Kiyo and Austin here, Kiyo had the chicken souvlaki (also pictured at the top of this post). The pita bread is soft and every ingredient tastes fresh and homemade.
